Pregnancy can be such a challenging and stressful time. Keeping a future mama’s body healthy is so important and can lead to a healthier pregnancy for both mom and baby. This course is designed to work on all those muscles that a women will need not just during pregnancy, but for labor and post-natal. Avoiding DRA and pelvic floor dysfunction starts with keeping strong in the pelvic girdle and deeper core muscles including the abdominals. In addition, correct breathing allows the diaphragm to move and be used correctly which in turn allows the pelvic floor to work optimally during pregnancy and labor. We hear a lot about tummy time for babies – lets talk about tummy time for moms! New and not so new moms have to be a little careful about the type of abdominal strengthening program that they choose. Part two of this workshop includes the pelvic floor and doing a Kegel correctly – this always sounds more complicated than it actually is!
